Welcome to (what was in 1996) the first UK Music Festival on the Web!

The Hounslow Festival of Music, Speech and Dance is a competitive festival with classes for all ages and all abilities.

The annual festival, which is in holding its eightieth-second festival in 2023, is affiliated to

which had as its patron (until recently) Her Majesty the Queen, and the Hounslow Festival is one of over three hundred affiliated festivals.

There are three separate versions of the Festival Syllabus this year, one containing Pianoforte section, one for the Vocal and Speech sections, and one for the Stage Dancing section. Each section has classes for a great variety of ages and abilities, full details are in the relevant Syllabus.

We will not be running the Instrumental, Pianoforte or Speech & Mime sections in 2022 because we have no Leaders for these Sections. If you would like to become either the Instrumental / Speech & Mime / Pianoforte Section Leaders for 2023, please go to our "Contact Us" page for an email address.

The Speech & Mime / Vocal & Choral and Stage Dancing Festival sessions take place at different venues during weekends in October and November each year. The Pianoforte Section and Speech & Mime Section usually takes place in June. Entries are welcomed from teachers, schools or individuals.

The primary aim of the Festival is to encourage the study and performance of the arts. This is done by giving the opportunity for public performance of a prepared piece by an entrant and providing constructive criticism in a competitive but friendly atmosphere.
